Brie's Corner

I struggled with this book a lot. The pacing is slow, the world building is complex and slightly confusing, and overall there’s an awkward feel to it. However, it’s quite an engaging read and once you get into the world you realize that there’s so much potential there that you can’t help but get the second book in the series, even if you are somewhat weary about doing so. When I recommend this series I always say, be patient, the first two books are not easy to get into, but you have to keep going, if you don’t like the third one, then you’re allowed to quit, but give it a try and pay attention.At this point this is not only my favorite series of all time, but Ms. Brook is one of my favorite authors.
